Batam, 23 August 2023 — Curriculum renewal is a crucial step in ensuring the continued relevance and quality of higher education. This is particularly important for the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Curriculum in each university. In addition to enhancing the relevance and competitiveness of graduates, the programme aims to equip students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and attributes relevant to today’s world.
The MBKM Curriculum Renewal Workshop took place on 15-16 August 2023. The first day of the event scheduled at B101 Room, while the second day was held at the Harmonie Auditorium. The speaker was a highly experienced professional in her respective field and extensive experience in both education and industry. She is Prof. Dr. Dra. Christina Whidya Utami, MM, CLC, CPM (ASIA), also the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at Universitas Ciputra Surabaya.
During the workshop, the resource person explained that the curriculum of the programme would need to be revised to be in line with the principles of MBKM and KKNI. This will certainly involve updating the curriculum structure to potential development. Additionally, integration is important as it involves more flexible learning programmes and the introduction of innovative, interactive, and technology-based methods.
